Velani hotel and horse stables in Avdou
Sabine and Manolis run this amazing, self-built hotel in the mountainous area of Avdou. Quietly nestled in nature, it offers breathtaking views over the Lake of Aposelemi. The best Cretan food is prepared using recipes passed down from Manolis’ mother, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of nature in every aspect. The sound of horses in their stables adds an extra touch of charm. Mr. Routaki calls this place his paradise. He rode the horses here in 2004 and witnessed the entire place being built, stone by stone.

House of Harmony is located just over 2 kilometers outside the pleasant car-free center of Agia Pelagia. On a terrain of over 5000 m2 there are five studios in the beautiful countryside of Agia Pelagia on Crete. These are luxuriously furnished and have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. Evelien came on holiday to Crete and fell in love with Manos. Years later, they now run this delightful taverna together with the family in the heart of Koutouloufari. Mr. Routaki met them when he was still a tour guide for Arke Reisen, and the idea of creating route descriptions was gradually taking shape. Top restaurant with friendly people.
